Hoi An (31 Mar / 1 Apr 1999)

		Hoi An is a small town full of artists, tailors, good restaraunts, stunning views over the river, the homes of rich Chinese traders, and the pagodas which they left behind.
		As luck would have it we found ourselves in the best hotel in town.

		This picture shows the elaborate roof on one of the Pagodas.
		And this is the view from the ground.

		Once again there is a large and popular market in town.

		The other side of the river is real filmset Vietnam.
		A beautiful place to sit for a drink whilst watching the sun going down.

		A long days drive (heading South) lies ahead until we get to Quin Nhon for an overnight stop.
		En-Route we visit the museum at My Lai which is featured on the following page. My Lai was once a small village (or collection of hamlets) towards the coast from Quang Ngai which can be seen on the map (follow the road down the north bank of the river estuary to find it).

		We pass through some beautiful contryside on our way.
		Threshing the rice and collecting the chaff is an everyday chore in Vietnam.
