Abandoned by the Potuguese in 1835 following a succession of plagues, Old Goa retains a number of interesting churches and buildings from it's colonial days. |

An early start for the long day ahead as we travel via Hubli to Hospet (near the ruins of Hampi) our next port of call. We leave before dawn to beat Goa's traffic and by the time the sun rises have climbed up the Ghats to the Deccan Plateau.
