Founded in 1568 Udaipur (the Venice of the East) lines the banks of Lake Pichola in South Rajasthan. |

The lake is 4 Km long and 3 Km wide and this panorama just shows a bit of one end. | |||

The city was built by the Maharana Udai Singh and this is the palace he built for himself at that time. |

| Constructed from marble and towering over the lake it is the largest palace in Rajasthan. |
