Gwalior
(21 Jan 1998)

The hill fort of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh has a history going back for 1,000 years.

A view from the fort looking down on the town.

The Jain temple you can see on the left is within the walls of the fort.

These giant statues carved into the rock can be seen on the way up (or down).

A Long drive South East as we head for the temples of Khajuraho at the bottom right of the map.

We picked up some snacks for lunch as we passed through Jhansi, but my god those samosas were hot!
